What happens at your visit
The process is the point: you should leave knowing what was found, what it costs in parts, and what happens next.

Arrive
Come to the rooms in Glen Austin, Midrand. Address and map are on the contact page. Bring any current glasses, a previous script if you have one, and a list of medicines. We do not do home visits.
History and test
We start with why you are here, then a comprehensive examination, about an hour. Ask as we go. This is one optometrist, not a hand-off between stations.
The quote
If you need glasses or lenses, the quote is broken into frame, lenses and extras. You choose. Nothing extra is added at collection that was not agreed. Exact figures are given in the room.
Lab and collection
After payment we tell you when the lab has the job and when to collect. At collection we check the lenses when time allows, and we check the fit.
If something is wrong
Say so. Remakes and adjustments are handled in the practice. WhatsApp or call the same number you booked with.
Questions we are asked
Do you claim from my medical aid?
No. This is a cash / private-billing practice. We invoice you; you claim from your aid if your plan allows it.
Do you do home visits or after-hours?
No. Consultations are in the Glen Austin rooms, on the published calendar. There is no evening or weekend clinic.
How long is the appointment?
Plan for about an hour. The calendar is built around that, with a buffer so the next person is not waiting in the doorway.
Can you remake lenses if they are wrong?
If something we supplied is wrong, tell us. We check the order against what you were quoted and against the script.
Do you publish prices here?
No. Quotes are done in the room so they match the frame and lenses you actually choose. See cost and quoting.
